A Little About Me
I'm Brooke Collins, and most days you'll find me somewhere between a stack of homeschool books, a cup of coffee, a workout, a house project, and whatever adventure my family has planned next.
My husband, Tim, and I are raising three boys while navigating the ever-changing adventure of military life. The Army has moved our family around the world, which means I've had a lot of practice creating routines, building community, and turning a new house into home.
We homeschool our boys, which has become one of the biggest parts of our family's everyday life. I love sharing the practical side of it, the curriculum, planning, routines, spaces, field trips, and resources that make our homeschool work, but also the real behind-the-scenes of our days and all the adventures we get to experience along the way.
I don't have a perfect system or think there's one right way to do any of this. I simply love sharing what's working for our family in case it helps yours, too.
My Faith
My relationship with Jesus is the foundation of everything you see here, but it wasn't always that way.
I didn't grow up truly understanding who God was. It wasn't until my mid-twenties, during one of the hardest seasons of our lives, that my husband and I began opening our hearts to Him. We were navigating deployment, devastating losses in our family, and a future that felt very different from what we'd imagined. In the middle of that season, God used a pregnancy, a last-minute decision to go to church, and eventually a simple decision to show up to begin completely changing the direction of our lives.
What started with walking into church grew into a relationship with Jesus that transformed our marriage, our family, the way we parent, and ultimately the work I do today.
Years later, I earned my master's degree in Biblical Exposition and founded The Finding Freedom Co., where I create Bible study resources and practical tools to help women spend intentional time with God and faithfully steward their everyday lives.
Why I Share Our Life
Over the years, I've shared a lot of different seasons online, motherhood, homeschooling, military moves, home projects, family adventures, faith, fitness, business, and all the ordinary days in between.
And that's really what this space is about.
I’m not here to show you a perfectly curated life to copy. I want to share the things we're learning, the systems and resources that are helping us, the places we're exploring, and the ways I'm learning to be faithful with what's right in front of me.
Sometimes that means a homeschool planning video or unpacking a house after another military move. Other times it's getting back into a workout routine, taking the boys somewhere we've never been, reorganizing a room, or sharing something God has been teaching me. Through it all, I hope to encourage you to faithfully walk with the Lord in every area of your life, no matter what season you're in.
And if something I share gives you an idea, saves you some time, encourages you to try something new, or points you back to what matters most, that is an answer to my prayer.
